About the Awards

The Queensland Road Safety Awards are a joint initiative of the Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety - Queensland (CARRS-Q) and the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland (RACQ), and are supported by Queensland Transport, Queensland Police Service and 96.5 Family FM. The Awards are designed to recognise and honour the outstanding efforts of community groups, companies or industry groups, schools, local government and state government initiatives, as well as inventions and innovations designed to improve road safety. |

The winners may be selected from the following categories:

The Queensland Road Safety Award Scheme aims to:
- Recognise successful road safety initiatives
- Generate publicity for road safety in Queensland
- Encourage greater commitment to road safety
- Attract corporate and community support for road safety
