Conditions of Entry
The conditions of entry in the Queensland Road Safety Award Scheme are as follows:
- The road safety initiative must be operating in Queensland and must be a current initiative or have been operative in the last three years.
- If the entries submitted do not meet the judges' standards, an award for a category may not be presented.
- More than one award may be presented in each category.
- Road safety initiatives designed and implemented by government organisations must go above and beyond the organisation's core activities. That is, the initiation or coordination of road safety programs must not be the organisation's main activity.
- The awards will be judged according to ownership and community impact, collaboration, relevance, scope, feasibility, innovation and effectiveness.
The judges’ decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into. The judges may not appoint a winner in all categories. The judges may or may not award highly commended certificates. Other awards presented are at the discretion of the judges.
