How to Enter
Nominations for the 2008 Queensland Road Safety Awards are open from 16 May 2008. Nominations will close at 5.00pm on Friday 15 August 2008.
All nomination forms and entrance guidelines are available to download from this website. Award updates will also be uploaded to this website so be sure to check back often!
You may nominate yourself or someone else for an award.
Download and complete the Nomination Registration Form and attach it to your nomination materials.
Your nomination must address the following criteria (maximum of eight typed pages in total).
- Overview of Project – maximum 250 words (Please provide an overview of your project including a description of the project, its aims and/or purpose, advantages and outcomes).
- Describe the ownership and community impact of the project.
- Describe the collaborative links between the project, its managers and other groups e.g. Government, industry, community.
- Explain the relevance of the project in regards to current research. Is the project relevant to road safety needs in Queensland.
- Could this project be expanded or adopted for other target groups, organisations or locations.
- How feasible is the project? Can it be easily implemented in similar situations around Queensland?
- Explain how the project developed? Is it based on a new idea or approach?
- How effective has the project been? Has it been tested and reviewed?
Your nomination may also include supporting material such as relevant reports and information, photographs, media clippings, CD-ROMs, videos/DVDs, and audio tapes/CDs.
Please note that nomination materials will not be returned after use.
Please ensure that you include the following when you submit your entry:
Completed Nomination Registration Form.
Statement addressing points 1 to 5.
Optional: supporting material (this may be copied for the purposes of the selection committee)
